My Finance Stories

Well today I am back to my boring job again of inspecting jars that are getting ready to go to different stores. These jars are what you use for canning, and each one has to be round at the top. I will have to admit that I have been looking for another job, and I did find one in the paper. I have applied for it and now am just waiting to see if they hire me.

This job I am wanting is where you go to each insurance company and your job is to compare life insurance policies. You take a copy of their life insurance from different companies and your job is to compare one policy with the other company’s policy. I never knew there was such a job, and I had to read it twice in the paper to understand what they wanted. Then I called the company so they could explain it more to me.

They said my job was going to get different life insurance policies from different companies and I would sit down and read them and compare them with one another. That meant I had to read through each policy. Then after I got done with the life insurance policies, then I would compare the different kinds of policies. They explained to me that these policies have too many loop holes in them and are getting sued when someone dies. So I decided to try out the job and see what it was like.

At first I thought this would be an interesting job, but when you sit here in this little office for days comparing life insurance policies you wonder by the time you are done with the last one, whether you will read again. There are so many words to look at when you are reading each policy. I sometimes wonder if I should have stayed with my other job. That job was so boring but now I am beginning to think if I made the right choice in switching jobs.

I have only been at this job for 2 weeks so I will give it some time and then after a month or two, I will make up my mind. I will have to admit it is better pay for fewer hours. I am thinking I will keep it because I like the pay, I get the more money working 3 days a week, than when I was working 5 days a week at my old job.
